American Grammy-winning singer Regina Belle was the surprise guest artiste at the National Commercial Bank's (NCB's) Pinnacle Awards Ceremony held at the Wyndham Kingston Hotel, St Andrew, on Saturday night.
The function was held to laud the bank's top performing employees for the Financial Year 2010/2011 and was under the theme 'Celebrating Excellence'.
When the singer walked on stage the hotel ballroom the approximately 400 guests erupted in screams and howls.
"I'm so happy to be performing for the biggest bank in Jamaica," she said, before opening with A Whole New World, her Grammy-winning collaboration with R&B singer Peabo Bryson from the Disney's Aladdin.
The organising team of the awards ceremony had kept Belle's performance a secret until the ceremony, having met her at the Norman Manley International Airport the day before and sneaked her into the Wyndham Hotel, where she stayed.
"Y'all remember my first single when my hair was off to one side like I just came out of the ocean," she joked before performing Show Me The Way.
